DJ I.O.U. is a house dj. A true student and lover of house music. I will play the entire spectrum of house; paying homage to the classic sounds while always pressing and progressing the genre forward tapping into what the future brings. I am influenced by an array of musical styles. I always try to paint a musical collage for the dancefloor while keeping it electronic. What sets me apart from other dj's are the rhythms and vocals that are on my tracks. My rhythms will make you move your body and the vocals will take you to that place you want to be. In a world of so many sounds I will speak to you on the dancefloor through the music. My story was birthed in the rave scene of DC/Baltimore. My first rave was New Years Eve 93 (Resolution - thrown by Ultraworld). The scene was very underground then and true. I fell in love and have not stopped dancing since. Around 95 I became seduced by the turntables. DJing was like dancing for me... me connecting with the music and melding with it. As a dj; I saw the opportunity to help others have that same joy I have through the music. I took many years honing my craft, buying records and producing tracks. I did parties here and there but nothing consistent. Now I have my aim towards being and doing what I love... bringing the vibe back to the people and the scene who gave it to me! Hell yeah!
