Error $oul by Studio Tann “Here’s a lovely slice of bottom heavy glitchy dubsteppy biz, care of Studio Tann, also known as DJ Jonah. I’m loving it.” The Orange Press http://theorangepress.net/2012/09/studio-tann-error-oul/

Studio Tann draws influence far and wide from sonically beautiful ambient soundscapes to commercial RnB, from Harajuku J-pop to hard-core hip hop. Imagine the love child of Bjork and J Dilla genetically fused with the DNA of Aphex Twin and Timbaland.

Studio Tann's remixes have had an overwhelming response online as he gives artists like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Frank Ocean & Nicki Minaj the Studio Tann treatment. He's also been commissioned to do official remixes for popular Sydney based artists Def Wish Cast & Alphamama.

A live set by Studio Tann is a mix of glitched out beats, hip-hop, remixes and dub step bass. His sound is forward thinking, gritty, unique and sonically magnificent.

Tim Hagan... What a story and journey as a musician. (Complete Bio 1997 to current)

Tim Hagan has been composing, song writing and performing since the age of 15. Back then he formed the band called Grimace. Grimace was a funk, punk rock band inspired by bands like Primus, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Faith No More and Mr Bungle, Tim was the main song writer, front man, bass player and lead vocalist of the group. We went on to win 3 major band competitions, Ryde Battle of the Bands, Shore Fest and the prestigious Youth Rock (97). This opened many doors and led Grimace to perform at two major festivals including Bay Fest in Batemans Bay & the Kiama Blow Out Fest. Grimace was given the opportunity to play along side and support some of the biggest alternative bands at the time including, Frenzal Rhomb, Nancy Vandal, the Porkers, Vicious Hairy Mary, the Living End, the Fauves, Quadbox and the Brown Hornet.

However in 1999 the band sadly broke up and Tim focused on a Bachelor of Music degree at Nepean UWS that he was currently studying. While at the course Tim met up with a group of musicians that wanted to start an acid jazz / electronica band, so they did. The band was called Quintessential. Quintessential play a long side Multiball and DJ Ajax.

In 2000 Tim Hagan was honoured to get a gig with a Caribbean Steel band lead by Denis Gonzales. Pan 2000 played many corporate gigs around Sydney with Tim on bass and in 2000/2001 the band performed a 2 week tour of Taiwan for the Festival of the Drum.

The Band 'Rica Tetas' is born at this time and Tim started to pursue another direction in music mainly using turntables, computer and a sampler. Using skills Tim had obtained at University he learnt more about styles of electronic music and started composing styles such as hip hop, breaks, drum n bass, house. These skills were integral in his involvement in Rica Tetas and his solo projects (DJ Jonah and Studio Tann). Rica Tetas was a crazy experimental band inspired by the music of Tom Waits, Mr Bungle and Frank Zappa. Freedom to express yourself creatively was the norm in Rica Tetas, it was a musicians Nirvana. Rica Tetas had built up quite a following of die hard fans who would regularly support the band. Rica Tetas played
