Bio
A relative newcomer to the Madison club scene, though a longtime Madison resident, DJ JP started pumping the beats publicly in early 2010. He's been engaged in a years-long love affair with Dance music, listening to virtually nothing but (sometimes to the chagrin of those around him). Prompted by friends, he finally decided to share his passion with Madison's club kids, young and old. He has performed around Madison at the Shamrock Bar, Club 5, and Capital Brewery.
A techie geek at heart, JP employs technology to push the boundaries of DJ'ing, including mixing, visualizers, and sourcing and cataloguing music.
JP tends not to focus on particular subgenres of Dance music, but rather plays what moves him--music that makes him want to move! He tends toward a House bent with a Chicago sound and especially loves the opportunity to expose people to music they might not have heard elsewhere.
