DJ Parallax is one of the best-kept secrets of the world of DJs. His diverse style of spinnin records and mixing music, is designed to stimulate the senses.
"He can rock anything from a bourgeoisie, grown and sexy crowd to a gritty, dirty south crowd," said Troy Gunn of Renea Solomon Group.
Specializing in keeping heads bobbing, Parallax, which means a shift in focus, definitely aims to make the crowd move.

In addition to helping to make the party scene pop, Parallax also lends his mixing skills to the radio airwaves. "I want to affect the music game by putting music and hip hop culture back in the forefront," said Parallax.

Originally hailing from both Newark and Piscataway, New Jersey, DJ Parallax first paid his dues serving as a crate boy for a local group of deejays known as the East Orange United Syndicate.
After a hiatus, Parallax relocated the base of his operations to Atlanta, Georgia where he continued to add to his DJ resume. He is currently serving double duty as the official DJ for New York-based Avenue1 (www.avenue1online.com) as well as the Senior Music Editor. He was also most recently featured with the group of deejays receiving daily rotation on Wax 42, the 24-Hour Mixtape, on Sirius Satellite Radio. Currently you can hear DJ Parallax mixing it up on his weekly radio show, Put Ya Hands Up Radio, on www.partyradiousa.net Saturdays and Sundays from 12-2PM (EST) and as one of the featured DJs on "What She Say" with Willow Monday-Thursday from 7-10PM. He is also one of the DJs on www.swurvradio.com spinning every Tuesday from 11AM-12PM (EST) with his show, Brass Knuckle Rap.
When asked about his moniker, he responds passionately, "Parallax is an angular shift in focus. You know when you go the eye doctor and he makes you look at the letters on the wall with one eye open- with the other covered- then you switch eyes? That's called parallax. In essence, the DJ must create the momentum and keep the crowds focus. I make the crowd focus and take notice and then shift with me. It gives the audience an interesting alternative from what other DJs try to do."
