Born in Beijing China and raised in the Bay, Dj Quantum began his journey as a deejay in the summer of 1998 after he witnessed an incredible turntable demonstration by Dj Shortcut and Dj Myke One at a youth work shop put together by the Local 1200 crew. Shortly after the experience he purchased a pair of used Gemini turntables and a Radioshack mixer from a friend and began his training as a turntablelist. After a year of cutting and battling, he began to truly appreciate the beauty in the art of mixing and immersed himself in it. His background in scratching has helped him develop a unique style of mixing that has delighted the ears of party goers for nearly a decade. No matter the occasion; from house parties, and school dances, to birthdays, Christmas parties, and banquets, to clubs, battles, and performances, Dj Quantum always knows how to satisfy the palate of his audience and keep them screaming for more. As a true patron to the art of djing, Dj Quantum also teaches mixing and scratching at NorcalDjmpa, one of the most respectable dj and music productions schools in the United States. Currently, Dj Quantum can be found playing at the hottest clubs across the globe; from San Francisco and Los Angeles, to Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong. With his deep knowledge of music, undeniable skills on the turntables, and intense passion for the profession, the name DJ Quantum will be heard and respected throughout the nation, and resonate across the globe for years to come.
