Bio

Nominee for "Best Up & Coming DJ" for the 2010 JustCircuit.com Awards.

I believe that "Music Heals the Soul"
Music has always been the healer of heartbreak and heartache. When you're in love, happy or sad; music is where you turn.
I listen to music of many genres and tempos depending on my mood or emotional plateau, then I'll tap my foot, sing along or just break out in dance. I love to dance!
Spinning in front of large or small groups of music enthusiasts picks me up from whatever may occupy my life or mind at the time.
Picking people up and taking them away from their reality for a few short hours is what I live for. I have always written songs and poetry but something is telling me the time is now to express myself.

DJ/Producer/Writer
Scott Mann

Scott has been writing lyrics and music for years. "Didn't everyone have one of those cool Casio keyboards in the 80s?" As a young teenager, he had no idea that he would actually be in entertainment or that he would achieve success in it.

In 1994 as an afterhours club employee Scott Mann was introduced to the art of DJ. As the resident DJ would come in during the daytime to play new records, Scott was there preparing the club for the nights crowd and asked to learn.

Now 14 years later Scott has been a full time DJ/Producer for 4 years and now writer of dance floor anthems for 1 year and counting. "It's Over" featured vocals by Amuka who was no stranger to the dance floor. Her smash "Appreciate Me" propelled her to club "Diva" status. "It's Over" was Scott's first published song, became a smash hit and spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Dance Charts in 2010. Its Over was given honorable mention at the Billboard World Song Writing Awards in April 2010 for being among the top 500 songs written worldwide in the dance and electronic categories. DUB, We Need A Beat was released in the Spring of 2010 and made its way onto playlist and sets of DJ's and music lovers. In September 2010, Scott will release a new original vocal track with vocals by Jennifer Carbonell.

His influences range from Tony Moran, David Guetta to Edson Pride and artists like Kristine W, Lady Gaga and others (Too many to name).

A skilled DJ can read a crowd, recognize crowd progression and then build upon its energy; DJ/Producer Scott Mann has mastered these skills and thrives on the energy he helps create whether spinning house, vocal house, mainstream, tribal, electro or retro twist. "Its gotta be live." Scott spins live; he travels from gig to gig with CDs in tow.

Scott has been the DJ at several clubs, events and parties around the US with attendees totaling in the tens of thousands. Now can be heard on Americas #1 GLBT Radio Station; Pride Nation Radio which gave him his own show in August 2010 titled: The BEAT p.m. with DJ Scott Mann. He also can be heard on Dance Mix America.

"Scott Mann is so famous, but people dont know it yet!" Kitty Meow (Club Promoter, South Beach Icon and Performer)
Scott Mann was nominated for "Best Up & Coming DJ" in 2009 for the Just Circuit.com Awards and was named one of the Hottest DJs in South Florida by 411- magazine.

Only a handful of the most popular club DJs write their own material, so dont be fooled when you see a featured artist following a DJ/Producers name. Scott Mann is in a class of his own either burning up the charts or the dance floor.
