Bio
DJ Shazzle Dazzle, whose real name is, Shannell Baynard, has had an affinity for music her entire life. Baynard’s father, James Baynard, was a member of the 70’s R&B Group, Crown Heights Affair, who introduced his daughter to music at a young age. Baynard started singing publicly in high school, graduated from both Bowie State University and Towson University with degrees in Music and Fine Arts.
“Music has been my muse since I was a little girl, it was an outlet that allowed me to be fun, free and creative, “ Bayard said in reference to her love of music. “I started to spin out of the love of gadgets; playing with Virtual DJ, Serato, and other music apps, and next thing I knew, I started mixing and spinning at small events, and now I’m being booked professionally all over the region.”
DJ Shazzle Dazzle has been called to DJ events in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Baltimore and New Jersey, and has opened for acts such as R&B Singers Maysa, Algebra Blesset, and Q Parker of Bad Boy recording group 112.
