Bio
Growing up in Texas as a classically trained percussionist, to playing in solo festivals
and regional orchestras in high school in New York, to an indie rock band in college, Dj
Spearience (Jonathan Spear) was introduced to electronic dance music djing while in graduate
school at Montana State University in Bozeman.
Only months after getting his start djing with an app on his phone at house parties, he
bought a real setup and began playing at Bozeman̢۪s Zebra Cocktail Lounge - eventually
becoming a resident DJ. He has also performed at Colonel Blacks and Snobar 2018 in Big Sky.
During his spare time, Jonathan enjoys creating remixes and producing his own
electronic music. In order to pursue his musical career, he now calls Missoula home and is
excited to bring his unique blend of electronic genres to its already thriving electronic dance
music scene.
