Bio

Bio:
Spencer T. Audilett aka Dj Spencer Thomas, originally from Tucson Az, currently resides in
Phoenix. At the young age of nine Spencer was introduced to electronic music by his brother,
Kiev, who more or less ran the Phoenix party scene at its peak being responsible for many of The
Nile events as well as bringing, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed (the Groove Tour), Poligwog,
Lenny Groove, Dj Irene, Richard Humpty Vission, Bad Boy Bill, and many others to Arizona on
multiple occasions. Spencer became intrigued with this new sound that his brother brought
home after running the club events and Az’s true massives and a pair of old Technics turntables
were acquired. Being around the 1997 era Spencer chose hard house, hard trance and hard
dance as his sound practicing almost nightly in his room trying to teach himself a style of mixing
that suited him. Finally around the age of 13 Spencer’s brother took him to an infamous party
spot called the Happy House where he spun his first party. It was here that 250-300 clubbers
would come from the local Club Rio to party into the after hours almost weekly. Kiev used his
influence to get Spencer on the open tables and for 3 hours straight he tore it up on the decks
just getting a feel for the experience. Then again from 2-3 a.m at only the age of 13 Spencer spun
and got quite a crowd dancing to his unique sound. Seeing this crowd encouraged Spencer to
practice even more. Back in his room he began to shift his sound from the harder genres to
Funky, French and Filtered House.
Around the age of 15 Spencer became involved with the Azunderground.org crew and opened for, and helped plan many events on their behalf. Slowly
creating a name for himself with the underground crews and crowds Spencer was then given
leadership of the Azunderground Crew, which put him in charge of events and promotion. Since
he has spun many underground events as well as many club events, even having a short residency
at The Real Bar when he was just 16. By networking through the industry and even standing
outside of bars (for the simple fact of being to young to get in) handing out demos, Spencers
name began to travel around. At the age of 17 Spencer set up a meeting with KNRJ Energy 92.7
FM to help them get a better report with the local underground crowd. Originally goin in to just
get a show for the underground deejays, Spencer was offered a show himself. Taking
this as a chance to get his unique groove of French and Filtered Funky House out Spencer joined
the station as a mixshow deejay like Paul Oakenfold and Markus Schulz did for Energy. Now just
at the age of 18, Spencer is still a head of the Azunderground.org Crew and has his weekly mixshow
every Saturday night on Energy 92.7 FM holding down the after hours, being the youngest
and funkiest of the deejays. His unique groove is heard weekly in Phoenix and will be heard at
many upcoming events in and out of state as he slowly is breaking into the club circuit and working
to produce a few remixes. Having accomplished so much already, Spencer has only just begun
and not letting up.

Currently: Dj Spencer Thomas is very involved with the music scene. DST has a residency at Club Envy in Tucson Arizona and is in negotiations for a weekly in one of the more prominent clubs in the Scottsdale area. He is also a head
of the Azunderground Crew and is in the process of planning and promoting local Arizona parties. He is also the youngest
deejay to have a mixshow with KNRJ Energy 92.7 FM with the likes of Carl Cox, Armand Van Heldon,
Paul Oakenfold, and Markus Schulz. He is literally the stations
underground connection and promotes for the station as well as a few record labels. With a unique sound of Funky French and Filtered House he is quickly becoming one of Arizona's most sought after deejays. . DST has gone through many loops
to perform at events, but is creating quite a buzz as he emerges into the club circuit. Deejaying is not all he has up his sleeves,
he is currently working on producing remixes to be released mid-2006. With his drive and love
for the funky beats, this kid is one to be on the lookout for.
