"For Immediate Release: DJ Toxic Rainbow Hosts New Radio Show"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[DJ] TOXIC RAINBOW HOSTS NEW RADIO SHOW

Emeryville, CA (April 18, 2011) – [DJ] Toxic Rainbow is excited to announce his brand new radio show, “Sines from Below”, that will broadcast every Thursday night from 8:00pm – 12:00am on www.Tech-Noid.net. Listeners can tune in directly from the site and join the chatroom, or find Tech-Noid listed under Electronica Radio in iTunes. Show updates, schedules, and news can be found at the Facebook Fansite https://www.facebook.com/SinesfromBelow.

Sines from Below will feature tracks at the top of each hour from up-and-coming producers from around the world, as well as mixes from two different Guest DJ’s. Listeners of course are also treated to two separate mixes from [DJ] Toxic Rainbow himself. The show is entirely listener-driven in nature, as he states:

“I'm doing it because more music has to get out there, and I really like having a chance to get a more intimate experience with my audience and fans. Having air time with them and chatting in the chat room is very rewarding to me”

Fans can chat directly with [DJ] Toxic Rainbow in the chatroom, and producers can submit their music to the show and get the chance to have it be broadcast during a show. Sines from Below has already broken Tech-Noid listener records, by gaining three times the average listenership and five times the recorded peak listenership. This week includes a feature “sines from Below Average music”, that reviews songs that are contributing to the downfall of mainstream music. Listeners will be also treated to a set from [DJ] Toxic Rainbow himself!

[DJ] Toxic Rainbow has been DJing for the past five years, and specializes in NuSkool Breaks, Electro/Fidget, and Dutch House. Having won the prestigious 2010 Santa Cruz Goldies Award for “Santa Cruz’s #1 DJ”, [DJ] Toxic Rainbow is now ready to take the rest of the Bay Area by storm. Through his radio show, Sines from Below, and his production work in the various genres of downtempo, electro, and breaks, you can count on seeing his name again sometime in the very near future.

"DJ Toxic Rainbow"

If you’ve ever been to a rave in Santa Cruz, then you should know who this man is. Evan Shwartz AKA Dj Toxic Rainbow has been an enormous help to me in starting my life as a DJ. He took me to my first rave when I was 15, and later booked me for my first few local Santa Cruz events. He used to hook me up with slots Djing at a hookah bar before I was even 18. In the past year his production level has shot through the roof and he had been kind enough to share some of his music with Stumble Juice. Show some love and add him on myspace! - D4NE - StumbleJuice.com

Bio

It’s musical serendipity when an artist finds the medium in which they want to practice their musicianship. Evan Shwartz, known as [DJ] Toxic Rainbow, is no exception. Born in Oakland, and later raised in Santa Cruz, he attempted to practice music, but never found the right medium to suite him. It wasn’t until his discovery of electronic music and the rave scene that he found his calling – turntablism and dance music production. The rest is history, and both electronic dance music and its culture has become the motivation for his career and his life’s philosophies. Adopting the name [DJ] Toxic Rainbow, for the infectious energy he imparts onto others, he set about to making his mark on the music world early in his career.

“From then on, I was inspired to create my own music, starting with pre-made loops (in) GarageBand, and evolving into new sound manipulation”, [DJ] Toxic Rainbow recalls. His productions have now developed into original works free of loops. He began DJing by playing small gigs and birthday parties, and eventually founded his own event production crew, Just for U Productions. For the benefit of the Santa Cruz Teen Center, he produced “Utopia”, a 13-act two-room dance production, in which he opened up for world-renowned electro/fidget duo Defunct! . In both 2009 and 2010, the Santa Cruz Goldies Awards granted him the title of “Santa Cruz’s Best DJ”. His production work has also caught the attention of online radio station NSB Radio (http://nsbradio.co.uk), who featured him as a DJ, and promoted his remix of “Just Add Lasers” by Dane O.

His music selection varies by genre, and his mostly vinyl collection ranges from pulsing Electro/Fidget House to Euro Pop. By not being musically constrained to any particular genre, [DJ] Toxic Rainbow is a versatile performer who connects to the crowd by playing the music he loves. Performance wise, he’s an energetic DJ who delivers an animated performance and engages the crowd. In the realm of production, he continues to evolve as an artist, and his tracks have garnered the interest of a number of prominent labels. Currently, [DJ] Toxic Rainbow has started broadcasting a weekly radio show “Sines from Below”, which airs on www.Tech-Noid.net every Thursday night from 8:00pm to 12:00am. He is also set to start performing shows in San Francisco, and is presently accepting bookings within the area.

[DJ] Toxic Rainbow is an artist who contributes his art to the world in order to spread positivity. Through the practice of the multiple mediums of music, sound engineering, and visual art, he aims to make a direct impact on humanity and the world as a whole. He aspires to reach world-renowned status as an artist, with the intention of focusing his platform around making the world a more beautiful and happier place. Inspiring people through music is the first step to reaching this goal, and [DJ] Toxic Rainbow has both the talent and tenacity to make substantial enough ripples in the pond that ultimately contribute to changing the world through his music.
