Djustpora is the musical duo of Pape Armand Boye and Oulimata Niang.
Djustporas style is a rare and balanced mixture of diverse musical genres from traditional West African melodies to folk, soul and pop. The groups songs deliver positive and conscious messages delivered in English and Wolof. The result of Armand and Oulys mixed experiences, is a sound that is familiar to the Western ear but offers a glimpse of Africa that is rare and sincere.

Pape Armand Boye was born in Tenguëch/Rufisque, Sénégal and was celebrated there as a pioneer of acoustic folk music as a member of the duo Tama. He later brought his music to Germany and New York and has since produced albums ranging from African pop/folk, to jazz, reggae and hip hop. He is the composer, arranger, producer and instrumentalist for Djustpora and records and mixes all of the titles himself at LaRO Music studios in Brooklyn, New York. Armand brings a voice of experience to the duo that serves as a natural complement to the refreshing youthfulness of his partner Ouly.
Oulimata (Ouly) Niang was also born in Sénégal, in the capital city of Dakar. At the age of nine, she immigrated to Miami and then later to Montréal and has since spent most of her young adult life in New York. Over the years Ouly has made it her focus to enrich the texture and versatility of her rich vocals, earning both a BFA and MFA in voice along the way. She has had a long love affair with jazz and soul music. Today that love has made her into the voice of a fresh new generation of young and culturally-mixed artists that have grown up listening to Nina Simone and Sade as well as Miriam Makeba.

Djustporas 2012 self-titled release showcases Armands years of songwriting and production experience and Oulys soulfoul vocals and energy. His vibrant compositions, combined with Oulys heart-filled interpretations, make for a collaboration that is original and refreshing.
The album features key performances by acclaimed drummer Manny Laine (Wyclef Jean, Common, Bélo, Les Nubians), percussionist Thiokho Diagne (Angelique Kidjo), bassist Tim Grünwald (Rataplan), mandolin/guitar by Clifton Hyde (Blue Man Group, TinPan) and trumpet by Jesse Sendgut (Gato Loco)
