""That was amazing, you guys work so well together.""

"That was amazing. I love hearing it. You guys work so well together, I can tell that you've been friends forever. I can tell that you have a real connection when your playing together." - Dan Mayfield- Editor in Chief, Albuquerque the Magazine

""Wow! I was impressed with absolutely everything.""

" I don't remember seeing a strictly guitar duo, who doesn't sing, have this kind of an effect on the audience. Wow! I was impressed with absolutely everything, your stage presence and things like that, but there almost secondary to the fact that you seem absolutely equally matched in phenomenal guitar technique...and I love the piece of music itself. I love the communication that you brought to it and your exact sense of rhythm. Congratulations." - Roger Malone, Resident Conductor and Chorus Director New Mexico Symphony Orchestra

""The duo received the only standing ovation of the night.""

"DJ Armijo and William Montgomery, who grew up together on the west-side and attended Cibola High School, write their own music and performed one of their selections on guitar, resembling an unusual flamenco-rock of sorts. The duo received the only standing ovation of the night." - Gary Herron-Rio Rancho Observer

""You guys are real guitar players.""

"You guys not only have real talent, but you guys are real guitar players. Amazing. The leads you were playing blew me away...but you guy's are also entertainers, and you compliment each other so well. You really know how to engage an audience and entertain, so you know what? Good Job." - Tobias Rene. King of New Mexican Music, Santa Ana Star Search

Bio

DJ Armijo and William Montgomery are an acoustic guitar duo born and raised in the beautiful city of Albuquerque, NM. Whether it be to a crowd of 20 or 20,000 their goal is always the same; to make the listener feel something. To label this group as any one type of music would be simply misleading. Rather than conforming to any one genre of music and playing in that style consistently, they take what they see fit from different styles and mold it into their own vision. “Our main goal is to be open-minded and play music that people will enjoy listening to as much as we enjoy playing it. If we can transfer the intensity and passion that we feel for the music we play to the audience or the listener at home than we’ve done good.” By putting their varied skill sets together and committing two very different minds to one cause, there are no limits for these young musicians. “The classical guitar is hundreds of years old, but we get ideas everyday of things that have never been done. . The notion that the classical guitar can only be used for classical music is dead. We would love nothing more than share with you what we mean by that with our guitars. We hope you will allow us the opportunity.”
