Bio

Andrew Lago (Born on March 29, 1981), also known as DL da Arsun is a young Filipino rapper and entrepreneur from Vallejo, California. He is the founder of “Built 2 G.R.I.N.D.” (Getting Results is Non-stop Determination) which is his record label and clothing line.

DL was largely influenced by the unique sound-scape of the Bay Area hip-hop scene of the 90’s and once he was introduced to the studio at 14 years old; he never sought to put the microphone down. “We just getting started” was the first project that showed how serious he was about making music. A spark ignited within DL setting ablaze a career of multiple albums and mixtapes rhyming alongside various Bay Area legends such as San Quinn, Mistah Fab, B-legit, Indecent the Slapmaster and Dubee, just to name a few.
Of the 5 mix tapes, the most recent one “Work Now Play Later Vol.2” is getting the most recognition, grabbing interest from Radio DJ’s such as Big Von of the Bay Area’s hit radio station KMEL. He gave DL his shine on Home Turf Radio by playing his remix of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” entitled “I Smell Haters” (among other songs) in which he matches Busta Rhymes staccato like flow with his own rapid style . Another big Bay Area personality Chuy Gomez could be seen wearing and giving away Built 2 Grind clothing on the longtime Bay Area music TV channel, CMC which also you can catch DL’s videos. Along with Radio and TV, DL has rocked stages for “Pista Sa Nayon” 2008, 2009, 2010, “Kababayan Fest 2011 Tour” Vallejo, Mountain View and Las Vegas.

Hard work always pays off in the end and luckily for fans the end isn't even close to being near. Already working on his latest music project titled “I of the GR1ND”, he’s continuing to show his growth lyrically with every new CD. Fans and newcomers alike will soon get their speakers tested with the heat only the Arsun could provide. This is one artist that you’ll want to keep an eye out for as he is making major moves and working his way up to become a household name.
