DC’s own D’Lo is Skyline Records’ newest addition; coming to the scene revered as a street-bred rap artist, romanticizing vocalist and all around powerful performer. D’Lo embraces his vocal skills and rhyming ingenuity, combining them to create R&B and Hip Hop hits. His music echoes as if he had lived a life time full of pain, struggle, and perseverance. He raps as he breathes; his daily walk is a beat he spits to. He lives Hip Hop; he is Hip Hop. D’Lo is known for his tireless commitment to perfection; spending hours in the studio and countless time in rehearsal. He is writing and producing day and night, sometimes spitting off the top in the booth just to release. D’Lo’s underground ventures span from three mixtapes, various performances and showcase headlines as well as collaborations with some of the DMV’s hottest talent. His work with Between 95 Productions and Frontline proved enlightening and instructive. D’Lo performed at JPBTV’s Hip Hop Buffet Series Vol. 2 and a city-wide Philadelphia tour. His experiences have led him to be more confident in his product and his work; expounding on his talent and taking his imagination and creativity to new heights. His latest project the Street Made mixtape is a compilation of D’Lo’s hardest rhymes, most controversial lyrics, and his versatile flow. His rededication to Hip Hop is evident in tracks on this mixtape. D’Lo is plunging onto the scene; never ceasing. His most recent work with Skyline Records has D’Lo going non-stop. D’Lo has taken over the DMV scene having flaunted his skills from the Island Café and Martini’s to Rose’s Dreams and Weyone.
