Bio

David Minor Bio

David Minor is the Director of Music and Youth at Tryed Stone New Beginning Church in Cincinnati, Ohio one of the fastest growing youth ministries in Ohio. He and his wife Demekia pastor about 200 young people on a weekly basis. A two-time All city, GCL player of the year, All-state, and All-American basketball player in high school, Dave led the Purcell Marian Cavaliers to the AAA state boys Basketball championship in 1985. David went onto a successful college career at Indiana University, where he was apart of the 1987 National Championship team. He later transferred to Xavier University where he completed his athletic and academic career with a B.A. in Organizational Communication. He is currently completing a Masters in Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary.
David is a gifted singer, songwriter, and producer as well. After college and a brief professional basketball career, David turned his focus to writing, and producing Christian music professionally for local artist, national artist and churches. His first major hit was a song entitled “We Offer Praise”. Since then David has gone on to write over 500 songs with over 100 being published and recorded by national artist. David continues to sing, write and lead worship at his current church.
David is married to Demekia Minor and they have 3 children, Tiera a Senior at Xavier University, Cormarie a Senior at North College Hill High School, and Mikol a 8th grader at School For Creative and Performing Arts.
