Bio
Formed in late 2003, Dmonstrations was pieced together by 3/4 of their former outfit, dance-punk sensationalists Dosage and Usage. From their initial formation it was vital to move on and not re-hash the sounds of their past. Guitarist/vocalist Tetsunori Tawaraya acts as the composer and songwriter. His guitar sounds are visceral and gutteral. Unconventional tuning and string placement make his sound entirely unique. His lyrical content focuses heavily on food, sexual politics, and international playgirls. Tawaraya provided vocals for Dosage and Usage on their 12" E.P., "Featuring: Tetsunori Tawaraya". Back home he is currently involced in the technical, yet disturbingly pleasant 2up (Up-Up). Drummer/Producer Aaron Wade wields control of drums/percussion and recording of the band. With his break-neck drumbeats and flashy style, he is the visual focal point of the live performances, often liquefying the innards of those who are unfortunate enough to stand so close during a show. Wade was the beat provider for Dosage and Usage on all three of their releases. Bass duties are held by Nick Barnett. His experience in Dmonstrations has included the mental rewiring of his musical ability. Since Tawaraya uses a combination of bass and guitar strings, Barnett finds a middle ground between the sonic onslaught coming from the intense drumming and unearthly guitar sounds. He is responsible for time served as bass player in the Northern California hardcore based outfits Makara and Ruhaeda. The sounds of Dmonstrations are far removed from the bands' previous experiences. While still embodying the creative energy and hyperactive display of the aforementioned groups, Dmonstrations make it a point to make the listener feel uncomfortable yet aware of what's churning inside the three of their minds.
