As a young artist coming from an area where talent is not frequently acknowledged or observed, Nathaniel Sherrod Jr. aka DMV’s Lil Bill is one to take a stand.
Born May 11, 1990 in Temple Hills, MD but living in Southern Maryland the majority of his life, this rapper/singer/producer & songwriter, managed to gain the respect of his peers in the DMV and abroad. Lil Bill is a dynamic combo of energy and swagger that instantly demands attention and accolades from music lovers, buyers, critics, and other established musicians themselves. Lil Bill’s style varies from “the cookouts”, the parties, intense conversations that ignite from his impeccable delivery and narrative storytelling skills.
Graduating from Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, MD in 2008 he also attended CCBC Essex Community College; Bill came upon the music scene in late September of 2009 after performing in numerous cities and events and recording numerous songs that were getting the attention of locals. “And to think all this started after a couple of college buddies were joking around in a studio, but I got serious.” – Lil Bill
Brooklyn West Records/ Bungalo Records/ Universal has offered a recording deal contract in January 2010; Lil Bill has yet to make a decision. Lil Bill’s anticipated debut project “One Sided Story” is to be released late Fall/Winter 2010. Bill is a complete musician repping his home whose music demands a true shot at stardom.

How did you get that name?
It was a nickname and everyone knew me by that name so I stuck with it.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Brooklyn West Records /Bungalo Records/ Universal threw me a contract in Jan.
What has been your most difficult challenge?
Nothing really Im just coming out!
What makes you different?: I dont curse in any of my music for one….I dont talk about stuff that ive never did….Basically my whole sound! The fact that I rap, sing, produce, and songwrite for other artist as well!
What projects are you working on?
My first project called Lil Bill ‘One Sided Story’ The Mixtape…..(Reason its not really a mixtape is because it will be dropping in stores like an album). I’ve had a distribution deal thrown at me.
Where are you from originally?
I was born in Temple Hills, MD but raised in Waldorf, MD so Waldorf really. (DMV)

9 Months (and already had a major label contract thrown at me)

DIFFERENT!!!!!! NOBODY SOUNDS LIKE ME OR DO EVERYTHING THAT I DO LIKE I DO!

Congratulations to DMV Lil Bill for dropping his project titled "One Sided Story: The Mixtape". Within the first three days he has managed to sell over 1700 copies. You can definitely attribute that to his street team aptly titltled TEAM BILLY, for showing the world what we have known all along, Lil Bill is here to stay. Im glad that he has been making the success that he has because growing up with Lil Bill I just knew him to be a hooper. I never knew he was into music or anything like that until he approached me with it sometime after highschool. Usually when someone does that then thats something the want to do but they are not passionate about it but Lil Bill is hungry for success so he stuck with it and he's doing it big already, Im proud of my man for doing his thing. Almost famous already and Im right behind him doing my own thing too. I wish the best for him.
Straight out the gate with "Gon Get Wet" which put the buzz in the streets and is still making its rounds nationally, the follow up "Ima Get It In" does not disappoint. With 13 tracks ranging from pure hip hop, to rock influences Lil Bill shows off his many sidesand proves that he has a story to tell and we need to listen. Writing, producing and definitely performing there is no stopping Lil Bill. He is what the DMV is missing
