His 2003 debut album, "It Pays 2B Humble" (Whiskey Records) pays homage to early hip-hop pioneers like Kool Herc and – of course – Run-DMC. DNA-1, aka Senyo Amoaku, spent time in hip-hop crew Natural Facts before going solo. Not since the Icons burst on the local hip-hop scene a few years ago has a San Diego product made so many waves. Mini Bio: Dynamic Urban Entertainer. Raised in Southern California most of his life, DNA-1 entered the entertainment industry at the age of seventeen as a composer on Fox Sports West documentary "Preps", since then DNA-1 has held positions from composer to production assistant, learning the ins and outs of the industry over the past several years. In addition to film, DNA-1 is also known as one of Southern California's rising Hip-Hop/ Urban Music Stars performing all over the western region from San Diego, Ca to San Francisco,CA to Las Vegas, NV and of course Los Angeles, CA. He has performed alongside the likes of Talib Kweli, Method Man, Redman, Erick Sermon, The Black Eyed Peas, Tha Liks, The Pharcyde, Nappy Roots, Slum Village, KRS-One and many more... DNA-1' s music has appeared on everything from TV Shows to DVD's to the big screen, as an entertainer/ performer/ composer he has worked with the likes of Russell Simmons, Stan lathan, Josh Hartnett, Harrison Ford, Kwame Amoaku, MC Lyte, Ludacris, Chingy and many more.
