Bio
Two upcoming, charismatic singers from Colombia and Cuba join song-writing and singing forces on this hot salsa release produced and arranged by pianist Marc Bischoff. The band's name, loosely translated as "two for the price of one", refers not only to the two lead vocalists Nando Vanin and Fabian "Huracán" Nodarse, but also to the exciting blend of a modern salsa arrangements from both of their native countries. On Doble Jugada's debut album "Jugando a Enamorar" the two singers take turns singing their own compositions, making this 2008 release an exciting and diverse experience. This recording additionally features some of Europe's finest latin/salsa recording artists including such respected names as José "Pepe" Espinoza, Gerardo Rosales, Armando Vidal, Joe Rivera and Nils Fischer. Vanin and Nodarse describe "Doble Jugada" as "bringing together two highly respected Latin-American musical cultures with the same language and one root. They embrace each other and become one, musically, aesthetically and artistically."
