Bio

. . . . . . . . . . . . . was formed in 2002 on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, in Durant, Oklahoma, when three All-Star basketball players discovered that they had stronger bond in the studio then they did on the court. Not only are these guys breaking records on the court, but knocking down jump shots on the stage too. This group of talent young men is just in time to give the Hip Hop World the boost that they need. Comprised of Brandon "the Hawk" Hawkins, Cedric "Sizzle" Walker, and Jeremy "Cuzo" Brown.

For the past year they have been performing on an underground network called "Just Cuz Records," which mainly can be heard and seen in the Southeastern part of Oklahoma and Northern part of Texas. You can hear their single, "Whatcha Doin" being played on the Southeastern Oklahoma State University college station and soon to be released on several radio stations in the Eastern and Western parts of Oklahoma.

It's amazing to see how they incorporate all different types of musical styles to create their own trademark. Singing with such a strong, raw and unique emotion, you can't help but stand there with your head bobbing to the beat, and your body swaying in places you didn't even know possible. With influences ranging from the great Tupac, the Notorious BIG, Jimmy Hendrix, Public Enemy, Jay-Z, and Dr. Dre.

They have made a name for themselves, by not being afraid to speak out against controversial topics such as the war, the government, and growing up in a working-class environment, where there was no choice but for everyone in the family to pull their weight and hold down a job. They rap about coming into the world broke, overcoming the odds that they faced and going to college. In a way they remind you of a younger Public Enemy, who was never afraid to go against the grain, but there sound and message is of a different caliber.

There first single off there LP is "Whatcha Doin", in which Sizzle, sings about passing up an opportunity to play professional basketball in order to pursue the ultimate dream, a music career. The verse "I'm doin my thing, doin my dream, wit my team, like the bulls getting rings, flippin green, you know us boys stay hot on the scene, not on ya screen yet, thats why we doin our thing." is what the group models after.

Duck-Off Camp is a hard-working group of individuals who know what it takes to produce great music. When they're not in the gym practicing their demanding schedule, you can find them in the studio doing what they do best performing. Cedric "Sizzle" Walker, a graduate of Southeastern is currently living Durant, Oklahoma, along with Jeremy "Cuzo" Brown who is currently a senior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and Brandon "the Hawk" Hawkins transferred this year to East Central University. Between three a day practices, weight training, living in different cities, these three guys have made the time to practice, perform, and record as much as possible on their music.

The Hip Hop World better be on the look out for Duck-Off Camp. Here is a group of guys who met in a sweaty gym in Southeastern Oklahoma with the hopes of one day getting a NCAA title. They had no clue that basketball would take a back seat to their first-love music. They have incorporated the discipline and demanding strict program they learned in basketball over the years, thus contributing to their success as hard-working musicians. These guys are determined to make their mark on the music industry and the world, so pay attention, because they are not going to bow down without a fight. So the Hip Hop World better be ready for a long road ahead.
