Docta Jay is a West Texas born & bred rapper, producer, and engineer looking to shine light on the West Texas region. Docta Jay is originally from Pecos, Texas, and as Jay puts it “earned his stripes” in Odessa, TX. Docta Jay is not your quintessential Texas artist; he's not all slabs, candy paint, swangers, and sipping lean. Docta Jay gives you an array of topics from everyday life in his environment to the Texas culture we all have seen and grown to love and admire. Docta Jay wants his music to connect with his fans; he wants to give the people something real and relatable. Docta Jay’s music shows that everyone everywhere goes through similar situations.
