“With songs on their

last beyond the radiofriendly

to create songs that tell a
story in movements

they can.”

"Is There a Doctor in the House?"

Don't let the tag progressive rock put you off doctor, this virus is silence are not some noodly bunch of musos with capes and a wall full of Hipgnosis pictures.

With the critical acclaim for TV On The Radio and The Mars Volta prog rock is no longer the genre that dare not speak it's name and bands such as doctor, this virus is silence, are following in their wake.

It's challenging music that may be a world away from the three chord thrash but it shares punk's nihilism, assaulting the senses like At The Drive In after an adrenaline shot or Dillinger Escape Plan on benzedrine.

The band will be releasing their new album 'an existence in terms of yes and no' (the shift key on the bands laptop mustn't be working!) Actionsdower Records (aka payingforthisoutofourpocketsandmadeupalabel records) on January 3rd. Go visit the bands website for more details. - The Devil Has the Best Tuna

"CD Release"

"Make sure you wear your thinkin' caps, 'cause the record is a concept album about a protagonist who doubts control over their destiny and faces tragic consequences." - Illinois Entertainer

Bio

DTVIS is already generating positive reviews from international press. The Devil has the Best Tuna had this to say about their debut, "It's challenging music that may be a world away from the three chord thrash but it shares punk's nihilism, assaulting the senses like At The Drive In after an adrenaline shot or Dillinger Escape Plan on benzedrine." The band continues to work the Chicago circuit and tour the region in support of the album, while working on material for their next release.

Their debut LP, 'An Existence in Terms of Yes or No' is an ambitious first project as full a narrative. It's not just a collection of themes, but a story with every element of the music contributing to that narrative. The album follows the story of a protagonist who doubts control over their own destiny and faces tragic consequences. A common interest in non-traditional authors, such as Phillip K. Dick, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and William Gibson, inspired the band to write the album. Matt Talbott (Hum) at Great Western Record Recorders engineered and mixed 'an existence...' entirely in analog.
