Bio

Born and raised in Lansing, Mi, family and friends took notice from the very beginning that
there was something magical about Audra "Dodi" Alexander and her voice. At the tender age of 8,
she would write songs and listen to cassettes, in hopes of one day being an inspiration o others just as
her musical influences were to her.

She began singing with her family at local churches and various functions. Dodi felt the urge to pursue
her dream and decided to move to Detroit, MI which afforded her the opportunity to sing with the
recording group Adoration N' Prayze. She branched off from there and started singing background
for many world-renowned artist, including The Clark Sisters, Karen Clark-Sheard , Dorinda Clark-Cole,
Charlie Wilson, Amp Fiddler, Vicki Winans, Chaka Khan, and others.

Though this was an exciting time in her life, she continued to pursue her dream of being a recording
artist. Dodi felt a powerful connection with long-time friend Pam Taylor. This special bond created the
vision for music duo, Pam & Dodi. Steve Corbin and "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson took notice
of this dynamic collaboration and executive produced the self-titled debut album Pam & Dodi, released
in 2002. The success of this album allowed the group to perform on the Stevie Wonder Christmas
Special, talk-show Oh Drama, New Artist Showcase Stellar Awards, Bobby Jones Gospel, Soul Train etc.,
They shared the stage with Patti Labelle, The Gap Band and many others.

Another door opened up for Dodi, where she could hone her acting ability. She was asked to audition
for a role in the hit gospel play. "Why Do Good Girls Like Bad Boys'". She nailed the audition and continued
to perform in other productions to further expose the combination of her talents accross the country. She
had roles in " I Won't Be The Other Woman", " I Will Always Love My Momma", and " If These Hips Could
Talk".

In 2007, DODI decided that it was time to get back to her true love. She felt as if it was time to begin
working on a solo album and was given that opportunity by producer-songwriter Cordell Walton of 12
Noon Music & Design Group. He has produced songs for Charlie Wilson, Deitrick Haddon Vanessa Bell
Armstrong and many others and believed that a solo project for Dodi was well overdue. "She has the
type of voice that seriously personalizes everything she sings," says Walton. Songs delivered by a young
woman who has been there and back, and is no stranger to heartbreak and joy, disappointment and
deliverance - is found in bountiful richness on Dodi's self titled debut album for Walton's new label.
Producers Marcus Device (known for working with various world-renowned artists), Kenny Hickson and
Mark Smith are also featured on the album.

DODI, a contemporary gospel album, will focus on healing the soul, while uplifting the heart. Though
this is a solo project exhibiting Dodi's amazing vocals, she wants the focus of this contemporary gospel
project to remain on God, because she is able to give Him the glory in her own way.
