Bio
Bryans past has made him the strong and confident person he is today. His life has had its fair share of struggles. He encountered the daily discrimination from his peers because they considered him to be different. Growing up he found himself shy and struggled with his weight. Bryan combated his anxiety and shyness by taking a speech and debate class in high school. The experience changed Bryans life. The shyness and anxiety was gone and a star was born. He was driven to make life changes to accomplish his goals.
Bryan was blessed to have his mother as his best friend and his biggest fan. On October 11, 2009 his mother suddenly passed away. The pain was immediate and overwhelming and was the hardest tragedy he ever had to face. It was through his friends and those close to him that he was able to deal with the difficult loss and continue standing and performing. Bryan knew it was time and with his mother as his motivation he lost the weight.
Today Bryan, known as Shannel, is an expert in the art of make-up and female impersonation. She has had the opportunity to perform in cities across the United States and around the world. Shannel toured with the famous Dreamgives Revue and has worked with many of the most talented artists, including Kevyn Aucoin.
Shannel is a world class performer and has been inspiring audiences in Las Vegas at the Gipsy Nightclub. Her impersonations and over the top performances have been leaving audiences in awe and on their feet. She took her place as a pop culture icon when she appeared on the second season of RuPauls Drag Race and the first season of Drag U.
Shannel is grateful for the love and support from so many fans. She finds it a privilege to create smiles and laughter and strives for excellence, equality and the end of discrimination.
