"Dogar T. Oppenheimer: Sounds from the Underground"

I’d like to take a quick break from posting tracks to put the spotlight on a dude that you’re going to be hearing a lot from in the not-too-distant future. If you haven’t heard the name Dogar T. Oppenheimer, it’s time to get familiar. Hailing from Kansas City (aka the dope emcee factory as of late), Dogar’s perfect mix of gritty braggadocio and pensive humility paired with a grizzly voice and on point delivery offers something different than your typical midwest emcee, and in the words of another KC legend “DWAMN!”, it works. The opener of Dogar’s new album Odors Vol. 2 ”All Hail” acts as point and case, pitting Dogar’s rough midwestern drawl over wailing guitars and thunderous drums. Dude is KILLIN it! So now that i’ve hyped him up for you, and you’ve heard one super dope track from him, you should probably hit up Dogar Music to download the rest of Odors Vol. 2 as well as his other just-as-dope releases! There’s even a bunch of tracks (Including “All Hail”) up there for $FREE.99!! So cop that shit, hit Dogar up on twitter, and keep an eye out for this guy! - DharmaofDope

Bio

Known to fans and friends alike as Dogar T Oppenheimer, this emcee, poet and creative artist is far more than the gimmicks and bullshit rhymes that is associated with the rap game today. Indulging himself in the culture and taking pride in being an emcee that stands on what he speaks, Dogar continues to separate his style from the pack with a signature sound that represents his city and travels.

Dogar’s rap career started in the high school cafeteria like many aspiring emcees. After developing his craft in the lunch rooms and study halls Dogar stepped out into the local open mic scene. Holding his own with the local talent prompted him to enter several competitions across the Midwest – with more victories than losses his stage presence got the attention of other artists which led to a feature on the soundtrack “Fight Night”.

Struggling with everyday life and the pressures of an up and coming artist Dogar has seen several projects scrapped due to creative conflict, barber shop talk and bullshit basement rap dreams- this is why his first official album release in 2010 “ODORS VOL 1?, felt like an assault on the city, since heads in the town first heard him as a problem. A devoted fan base allowed Dogar to drop his second album “ODORS VOL 2? in the summer of 2011 that was accompanied with a promo tour that featured other artists such as Baby Nelson, Stevie Stone, Universal Artist Ruka Puff, Skatterman and Mad Marlon.

Working like he has bills to pay, Dogar is currently working on the “ODORS VOL 3?, mixing up a few surprise mix tapes and lacing up a collaborative effort with up and coming artists across the nation. Aiming to make you feel that his music is not only a representation of his life and work ethic but a mirror for likeminded souls to relate to.
