DOGS are a four piece from Dublin that formed in early 2011. They make music that has been described by Nialler9 as “pulsating synth rock” and by Totally Dublin as “…at the line between sad and blissful, a fuzzy end-of-the-night type of music that’s simultaneously affecting and rousing.” The band mixes electronic production, guitars, bass and vocals.

Biography

DOGS are a four piece from Dublin that formed in early 2011. They make music that has been described by Nialler9 as pulsating synth rock and by Totally Dublin as at the line between sad and blissful, a fuzzy end-of-the-night type of music thats simultaneously affecting and rousing. The band mixes electronic production, guitars, bass and vocals.

2013 has seen DOGS perform at several festivals: Whelan's Ones To Watch, Meteor Camden Crawl, Indiependence and Castlepalooza. The bands debut EP, Out In Cover was launched to a full house in Whelan's in July 2013. It features four tracks: Movement, Out In Cover, East and Underbeats. All tracks were recorded with Jonathan Black at his studio in Dublin and then mixed online over the space of two months after Jonathans move to London. Title track, Out In Cover, features guest lead vocals from Suzanne Purcell.

DOGS are: Andrew Brennan Vocals, guitar; Ronan Marr Production; Conor McGlynn Guitar; Dave Sheehan Bass. The band was formed from the ashes of various projects with a common view to making electronic music that delivers the impact of a live band.
