Biography

****Updates****
Dogsway's track, "The Reckoning", will be included in the new indy horror film Rotkappchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood.

Most recently Dogsway played DFEST 2009 and has been invited to include their music in several licensing catalogs for movies/tv/film.

The creation of DOGSWAY has been an endeavor needing decades to perfect. It all began in Tulsa, OK, back in the teenage years of the bands visionary, Nick Graziano, who spent countless hours strumming chords next to his friend and bassist Travis Taylor. After years of jam session after jam session, it was finally time for Nick and Travis to put the puzzle together and it started with the added ingredient of Eric DeMoss in 2007. Eric’s emotional style on the rhythm strings, combined with the smooth and undeniable continuity of Nick and Travis, had formed the base to push DOGSWAY forward. The pieces were beginning to fall into place, but the crucial element that was still lost, was the voice. Enter Shawn Wilson, whose crisp and defining vocals not only complemented, but enhanced the sound that Nick, Travis, and Eric had already refined. Finally, the spirit of DOGSWAY had been born. The guys then set out to polish their performing skills and began collaborating and gigging with drummer, Brian Harrison. After a number of performances, it was clear that there was a definite future for DOGSWAY. As Brian left to pursue other interests, the band found support from the rhythm section of established drummer, Jason Gilardi. Together, they paved a road all the way to the doorstep of Dave Percefull, master of Yellowdog Studios in Austin, TX. With the assistance of Dave, the band has ground and sharpened their sound to a musically polished edge. DOGSWAY is a rock band by all natural and instinctual abilities, but its not fair limit them to such a genre. From the deep and involved lyrics of the ballad “Burn” to the raw and callous sound of “The Reckoning”, the only fair word to describe DOGSWAY is potential…..potential to amplify their music into any and all defined genres. With a spectrum of other material, DOGSWAY has finalized their anticipated debut album which was released in early 2009.

Lyrics

Dirty

Written By: Nick Graziano

Did you say all the things that you
were wanting to say?
Was it worth all your pining, was it worth the wait?
Your words are cold muddy
water, always splashing on me
I'd clean it off but I like feeling dirty.

Oh I like dirty
Do you ever think youll know how
I can let you play me, then bring
you back to enslave me
You slowly chip away at everything
I'm good at
I don't think you'll ever know how I can let you go

What you said is a lie, was
it worth losing some face?
Is there empty inside, filling up
that space?
I can hear all your subtleties, I read between your lines
I can't ignore cuz I like
hearing dirty

Oh I like dirty
Do you ever think youll know how
I can let you play me, then bring
you back to enslave me
You slowly chip away at everything
I'm good at
I don't think you'll ever know how I can let you go

Now you're drifting with shifty eyes.
I fear I'm I'm falling for your shady
side
I love and hate every other
thing about you
These inconsistencies keep it all brand new

Do you ever think youll know how
I can let you play me, then bring
you back to enslave me
You slowly chip away at everything
I'm good at
I don't think you'll ever know how I can let you go

Burn

Written By: Nick Graziano & Shawn Wilson

Did you think you could walk away
Without looking back
To see what you left behind
Take a minute, turn around, take it in, see what youre burning down.

Youre taking only what you need, but you left me

You burned this house down
burned this house down
The future doesnt seem so clear
You burned this house down, burned this house down
The ashes are turning to tears

Did you think you could change your mind
After all these years
Then turn around and find me here
Its just been builing up way too long, for me to forgive
what youve done.

You followed all of your dreams, but you left me.

You burned this house down
burned this house down
The future doesnt seem so clear
You burned this house down, burned this house down
The ashes are turning to tears

The Reckoning

Written By: Nick Graziano, Shawn Wilson, Travis Taylor, Eric Demoss

Do you think you have an open mind? Do you think that you’re not under their control? Aren’t they the reason that you do the daily grind? Got you looking for something, something there that you may never find.

Chorus: You’re all twisted up, you’re inside out over a secret, what’s about? A Mystery, they’re keeping alive, you’re history. They keep it a lie, for them to see. From you they hide. I think it’s time for a reckoning.

Do you think you’ve broken open wide? Do you think you’ve solved the case of your missing hope. Aren’t they the only reason that you lost your mind? You’re always hoping for something, the hope is there but you just can’t unwind.

Chorus: you’re all twisted up, you’re inside out, over a secret, what’s it about? A mystery, they’re keeping alive, you’re history. They keep it alive, for them to see. From you they hide. I think it’s time for a reckoning. Reckoning, reckoning, reckoning…..

A mystery, they’re keeping alive, you’re history. They keep it a lie, for them to see from you they hide. I think it’s time for a reckoning.
