Bio
Dojo for Crooks is an exuberant three-piece indie ensemble that is always dreaming of greener pastures or planets. Comprised of drummer Jesse Howe, bassist/keyboardist Andy Thies, and singer/guitarist Braden Anderson, they describe their sound as somewhere between street graffiti and 50s science fiction; however, beneath the rough indie post punk energy hides a core of melodic pop. The drive for Dojo for Crooks is making the creative arts available to anyone and everyone who wants it. Whether it’s their music, short films, comic books, or anything else they can think of, they will do whatever it takes to give access to all who want to hear or see it. Dojo for Crooks is a very “do it yourself” kind of group having recorded their own EP entirely in Jesse’s garage. “If we ever wanted to become famous”, says Braden, “it would be to show everyone who wants to create that they can make it work with nothing but their own talents and drive”.
