DomOfTheYear is a US Rapper/Singer/Songwriter/Producer
DomOfTheYear was born Dominique Wise March 4th, 1991. Raised by a single mother. The last of 4 children. He wrote his first lyrics at the age of 8, in his oldest brothers recording studio. He's always been around the musical environment. Growing up, he always wrote but never took music seriously. Dom taught himself how to play the guitar at age 17. He started to cover songs from R&B to Rock to Country. He attended Montana State University & dropped out after one semester, due to financial difficulties.
Dom officially started his music career after dropping out. He started recording himself singing while playing guitar and rapping over industry beats. He got great feedback & decided to compile a catalogue of songs & put out a mixtape, which would be called "Presently Absent". Released September 5th, 2011.
After over a year and a half of fine tuning, practicing & perfecting his overall craft, he followed up with the highly anticipated album "Thrills" on July 2nd, 2013. He is now broadening his fan base with this refreshingly new project.
