Donald Morin is known for his recently  best folk/balled award at http://www.theakademia.com/february2016_bestsong_folkballad2.html  Mr. Donald Morin also performed at the Truth & Reconciliation Event in Edmonton, 2014 and the Neechie Festival, a benefit for the SikSika people flooded outside of Calgary Alberta. 2013, he was the Technical Director, music performer and co-ordinator of The Edmonton Red Jam Slam event. He as well completed  his recurring character Johnny, on  season III of Blackstone, a Canadian TV series shot in Edmonton, AB.  April 2011,he performed a fun clown show for Winnipeg’s Scheme A Dream company for a packed Restaurant Crowd birthday event in Edmonton. He as well finished editing work for professional dancer and Teacher Christine Elsey. Streams of Metropolis Dance. Donald Also presented an online first Nations Issues lecture from an indigenous artist perspective to students, professors and guests of the University of Fraser Valley. He also performed the role of Arvus for Andrea True Joy Fox from Gordon Fox's Novel Arvus in Excelsus. He also completed the role of Riel, a Métis Preacher in "The Killing Games", a Barry J. Gillis Film.  June, 2010 he completed the role of Wilfred in the stage reading of Where the Sun Don’t Shine for The Aboriginal Arts Collective and as well read other characters from short one act plays for the Aboriginal Arts Festivals held in Edmonton. Donald collaborated with International Indigenous Artist Rebecca Belmore with her work at the Museum of Anthropology and the Orr Gallery in Vancouver 2010. 2007 he studied at the Ten Day Intensive of The Activist Documentary Film Workshop of the Galliano Island Film and Television School in British Columbia. He also helped produce audio programs for Coop Radio’s Community Radio programs When Spirit Whispers and Snewaylh Language program. Other work consisted of the principal role of “Marty” in a radio musical called The Tipping Point, a Theatre In The Raw production. 2005 he completed the lead role of “Sam Wolf” for Caravan Farm Theatre summer musical IOU LAND. 2,001, Donald produced and toured The Métis Sauvage European Tour in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and London. 2004 and 2005, he finished mentoring for The Indigenous Media Arts Group (IMAG) and helped with the Professional Development program for Native Artists at IMAG. He has showed a 45 minute version of his 7 Fires film and his academic paper NDNs in the Age of Terror in Atlanta, Georgia, USA at the University Of Georgia, Art & Design and for The Society for Cinema and Media Studies 2004 International Conference. 2004, he was one of the keynote Speakers/Presenters at The Annual AGM for The National Alliance for Media Artists at the RimShot Media Festival in Vancouver. 2003, he sat for the 2,003 Canada Council For The Arts selection Committee and completed teaching the Native youth and the professional development programs @ the Indigenous Media Arts Group . He also taught at the Digital Film program at The Native Education Centre. The 7 Fires 4 U…Kitchi Manitou film was also presented @ the 13th. Annual La Terres En Vue Film/Video Festival in Montreal of June 2003. Donald Morin performed the LEAD role of Eddy LaRoche in the Quebec 35mm film Windigo in 1993, which won awards for  work on Windigo (1994), Robin of Locksley (1996) and Jonathan Stone: Threat of Innocence (1994).   1985, 1988, and 1991, he was drama instructor/director for the Spirit Song Theatre Company, Vancouver, BC, where he re-wrote Sea Street to an eight person play for Native youth from a two person show for the 1987 Indigenous World Native Youth Conference, UBC, from one man play for Surrey Teachers Association. 1985, he was also the lead Actor for Soul Survivor, which toured the Edmonton Fringe Festival & Vancouver Fringe Festival. Donald Morin was with the Directors Guild of Canada from 1983-1989 and The Marie Morton Talent Agency from 1981-1992. Donald completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Fine & Performing Arts Major avec Film Concentration @ SFU 1989.
