Born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in California, Donell learned at a young age that he wanted to be a minister through singing. Through out his life, the Word of God has made a serious impact upon him. Donell feels that God has blessed him with a gift, and that he has been truly blessed by being able to minister the Word of God through song.
Donell is a spiritually motivated singer who directs the focus of his music to the youth and the young at heart. His voice holds inspiration and he is commonly know for his ballads and soulful medleys as well his high energy music, which is designed to feed your spirit and move your feet. His vision is to with God, deliver the mislaid, build up the saved, and to help God's youth be all that they can be. Donell is also a proud member of Divine Faith Ministries International in Jonesboro, GA, where he receives the unadulterated Word of God by renowned pastor, Dr. Donald E. Battle.
Donell is a licensed minister and wants his ministry to make an impact upon the world. He believes by keeping the Word of God fresh and exciting. It will help some of today's youth know and understand the plan that God has for their life. It will give those without hope a sense of security with the Lord and a comfort of promise in their direction.
Donell feels that there are people in the world that need restoration and healing. Sometimes people at first are more expectable to hear the word of god through music. Individuals are more likely to hear the beat of a song or the way it moves them first before they hear the words. And often times what happens is that people catch on to phrases and those word seep into their spirit. Some of the music that Donell has is very attractive to the younger crowd but in turn they don’t just get a nice beat to dance to. They get the word of God that is able to help change they’re lives. Donell has a gift from God to be able to appeal to all audiences. His voice captivates the old and the young.
