The notion of ‘girl power’ has seen a rebirth in the form of Done with Dolls, a Toronto-based all-girl pop-rock group that blends a lot of sugar and a little bit of spice with a tremendous amount of talent for their combined age of 46.
At just eleven and twelve years old, Eliza (drums), Megan (guitar) and sisters Kylie (vocals/guitar) and Jordan (vocals/bass), arrive ready to rock with talent far beyond their years. The band’s self-titled début embraces an edgy, spirited energy that greatly coincides with their coming of age. The girls compose gentle piano ballads (“I Wish I Was There”) as seamlessly as they rock out snarly odes to dissolved friendship (“Go Away”). But don’t be fooled by the girl group label: these gals play their own instruments and sing their own songs, devoid of the synthetic enhancement that’s so popular in today’s music industry (Auto-Tune anyone?).


The positive image along with Done with Dolls’ catchy and upbeat songs will appeal to fans of all ages. Serial Joe, meet your modern day all-female tween successors.

At just 11 and 12 years of age, these girls are Done With Dolls and ready to show off their extraordinary talents on a stage near you.
Already veterans of the recording studio, Done With Dolls have a brand new debut EP, and have played their first show to a sold out crowd in Toronto's East End.
In contrast to the cookie cutter, formulaic teenage stars of the same age, Done With Dolls are responsible for writing, and playing their own songs, something that is unfortunately rare to find in performing artists these days.
The girls have already been playing music half their lives, and have a strong grasp of writing catchy, age appropriate pop songs about the situations, and thoughts that evoke a tweens' conscience.
Produced by James Quinn of Rocket Sound Studios, and Mastered at Joao Carvalho, the Done With Dolls cd is a professional debut and has already proven a hit with students at Glen Ames public school, with the girls being asked for autographs, a sure sign of what lies ahead in the near future.
