On August 21, 1989, Oswald and Lenora Maye gave birth to Peter Maye, stage name DON FRISCO. He is the third child for his parents.
Born, raised and grew up in the Frazer’s Content(Red Pond) community Spanish Town, Peter began singing at a very tender age of eight years old on the Sunday School Choir at his church. He is the son of a Pastor and so, he would attend church very regularly where he would spent a lot of time teaching himself about keys on the keyboard, at first he fell in love with the idea of finger tapping on the keys until he later mastered his skills of playing the keyboard.
In 2001 Gloria Smith, his grade six teacher at The Spanish Town Primary School identified his talent in singing and summond him to share devotion with his schoolmates. Gloria was the first to encourage him to persue singing as a career, this boosted his motivation. Peter was elated with the applause and response he received from school friends, teachers and even from people who did’nt even knew him personally.
As the years shifted swiftly and his versatilities expands, he did his first recording (Demo) at the Fire Blaze Recording Studio over by JohnsonPen in Spanish Town, owned and operated by Dale “Key a Fire” Pearson in 2003. A song titled ”Hero”, there and then he found an Alias for himself and was affectionately called “Singing P”.
His first appearance was on a community show “Amaziyah the great Birthnight Bash” in the Frazer’s content community where he gained much more recognition.
The singer later met Germaine Ranglin the following year where he did “Call on Jah” and many more singles.
In 2005 Claudeth Pious from Children First gave him his first major exposure outside his community. He appeared on some environmental Protection shows held across Jamaica.

As he got more into the entertainment business he was eager to do more and tackled any challenge he encountered with, he started creating rythms and doing collaborations “Wolf inna sheep Clothes” and that was done by him and Hector Frass on the “Precious Rhythm” on the Great Ammazement Label.
Other collabs was done with other acts such as Elephant Man for Global Syndicate; the collabs went with Ragga B, Richie Loops and more.
Peter later changed Alias from “SINGER P” to “DON FRISCO”, he later recall getting his first radio play on Hitz 92 FM, just after Beijing Olympics, he gave his first tribute to Usain Bolt titled ”9.58” that too got great reponse through frequent air play and rotations on many other radio stations.
