Bio

Norwegian electro-pop sensations DONKEYBOY started their career in high school in Drammen, just outside Oslo in 2005, when brothers Cato and Kent Sundberg teamed up with Peter Michelsen and Thomas Drabloes.

Since then the five piece act, fronted by Cato and Kent, have topped the charts in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Their debut single, “Ambitions,” released in March 2009, topped the Norwegian charts and spread like wildfire around Scandinavia.

The band proceeded to play over 100 live shows on their debut album “Caught in a Life,” which was a triple-platinum selling #1 charting success, spawning 5 top 10 hits including 7x platinum “Sometimes” and the 13x platinum “Ambitions”, which spent an amazing 52 weeks in the official singles charts.

“Caught in a Life” won several Norwegian music awards including 3 Norwegian Grammy Awards for Best Video, Best Hit Record, and Best Newcomer in 2010, and won a Swedish Grammy Award for Best International Newcomer in 2011.

Donkeyboy’s new album, “Silver Moon,” released in April 2012 includes the single “City Boy,” which has been number one in Norway and Denmark, top five in Finland, and is rapidly climbing the Swedish charts. The song has already garnered over 12 million Spotify streams in Scandinavia alone, and the hilarious and innovative video is rapidly approaching five million YouTube views. Silver Moon is scheduled for release in the U.S. early in 2013.
