Bio

Rhyming has always been my passion. I was rhyming before I knew the alphabet. By middle school I was holding court in the lunchroom, freestyling while my friends made beats on the tables with their pencils.

Music has always been an important part of my life, but when I left Southwest Atlanta in 2006 to attend Albany State University, I had no idea how my passion for music, plus a touch of fate would change the direction of my life entirely. At Albany State, I met two great friends, Cap and D-Ray. We liked to play around with music, writing songs, making beats, and generally delivering the party all from the third floor of our dorm.

Our group, 3rd Flo was born in that room. We built a studio and shot our first video for, “Do the Heizman,” becoming one of the first musical groups to reach millions of fans using YouTube and other social media. From there, we accepted invitations to tour the country with performers like DJ Unk, Lil Boosie, Webbie, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and B.O.B. As exciting as this newfound celebrity was, for this hometown Atlanta boy, nothing compared to being one of the first to perform at the Honda Battle of the Bands at the Georgia Dome where 9 out of the 10 bands performing were playing OUR song—Do the Heizman!

Music continues to be an avenue for me to authentically connect with people—especially people from the streets. I have a lot of pride in being from Atlanta and it’s important for me to demystify the image that reality television has created and tell the real story of what it’s like to be a solider on the ground in the SWATS. At the same time, I think you can still make people feel good while you’re being honest and I hope people feel that vibe when they listen to my music.

I want to be one of the greatest of all time.
Sometimes I think that I am already.
Now it’s time for the world to know.
Get ready.
