Donovan Hatcher is a dynamic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Texas hill country. His original music is ethereal and captivating. Influenced by an upbringing immersed in the best of musical talent and years of live performance, his songs are at once intimately familiar and boldy artistic. His songwriting engages the listener and creates a pleasing sense of space surrounded by beautiful and hypnotic melodies.
Donovan has toured extensively in the U.S and Europe supporting many successful artists such as Lousiana Music Hall of Fame inductee Doug Duffey, Jazz great Jimmy Neeley, famed Louisiana soul bands Blue Monday, Howard Shaft, and The Roadhouse Disciples, multi-platinum recording artist and three time Handy Blues Award winner WC Clark, Austin's award winning reggae masters The Killer Bees, critically acclaimed Lousiana funk master PapaMali, as well as legendary Austin blues men Hosea Hargrove, Harry Bodine, and the late, great Jesse Taylor...just to name a few. His focus has shifted from a supporting role with other artists to a more singular performance style, enabling him to blend years of influence from some of music's finest with his highly unique original songwriting and performance style.
