Bio
With over 15 years of promoting, DJing and music production under his belt, Don has worked in nearly every aspect of the EDM industry. In 2002, Don started AfterhoursNY. His first production company, AfterhoursNY helped run some of the biggest and longest running weekly EDM related events in Upstate NY. The website was also a focal point for nightlife in the area for several years.
In 2004 Afterhoursny officially joined forces with their longtime partner, Gravity Entertainment. Together they brought fun and excitement back into the Upstate scene. A new weekly event was begun. “Housexxy” took the area by storm bringing the best local and regional headlining DJs to it’s dancefloor. As partners in Gravity, Don is looking to push the company and its artists and to give them the international exposure they deserve. After a short hiatus Gravity Entertainment is back again and bringing the area much needed events.
In 2006, Don decided to begin work on an independent record label. SINsation Sound was created. The digital only label has since seen 30 releases from artists all around the globe. The label continues to grow and take on new and aspiring artists from across all EDM genres.
As a DJ, Don has played countless shows since 2000. Highlights include appearances at WMC in Miami, WEMF in Canada, Sullivan Room and Love in NYC as well as non-stop residencys and parties across NY State. There is rarely a weekend where you will see Don not booked somewhere. 2010 looks to be one of the biggest years yet. Several bookings at huge summer festivals and NYC bookings are the norm for 2010.
As a music producer, Don has over 15 releases under his belt. You can expect a variety of sounds from his productions. House, techno, electro, and dubstep are the main genres you will hear out of his studio. Since 2006 he has released tracks on Fuego, SINsation Sound, Loopfreaks, Visionary Mindz and ESP Musik. 2010 is no exception with several releases lined up.
