The best kept secret in music

Being a host of an independent music radio show gives me the chance to hear a lot of fine music. Every
once in a while a particular band or musician stands
out and really grabs my aural attention. Don Teschner’s CD, Swamp Rock Blues, did just that.I found my self listening to it repeatedly, and caught myself bobbing my head and playing air guitar. Don Teschner’s music reaches into you and grabs your soul.
I enjoyed every song on the CD. Each one crafted and played not only to entertain, but to mellow the listener into the blues. Man, does it
Single-handed, Don plays a repertoire of tunes with just his voice and guitar.I didn’t even realize this until I had listened to the CD several
times. Hey, that’s only one guy and one instrument I
realized. The vocal and instrumental styles are so
full that one hears more that just a guy and a guitar. The listener hears a full and rich sound that rivals a full band. It takes a lot of talent to do that. And Don has plenty of that.
This is one CD that will stay in my personal library to be played on a regular basis. I can tell, this music will never get old or stale.
If you like the blues, the real get-down, earth shaking blues, then you’ll want to get and listen to Don Teschner’s CD, Swamp Rock Blues.

The Second Chapter - Ex-Rod Stewart Guitarist Don Teschner Is Back And Rockin'

Music legend Don Teschner is at it again. Releasing his new CD, Swamp Rock Blues, at has brought this rock king full circle. After stints with the Rod Stewart Band, Teschner is once again proving his mettle with this tightly- woven adventure into hard rockin' blues.

The multi-talented entertainer often forays into his second love, film making, and because of his success in that genre, took five years off from recording and touring. "My movie job offered lots of down time, but the songs kept building up - kind of like a big wave. I knew it was time to get back to my music," he states. He is, by all purposes, a one-man recording and producing operation. Recording at his Insomnia Productions, Teschner had a hard time deciding which songs should be included on Swamp Rock Blues. Settling on nine perfectly balanced and blended tunes, he now says he can't wait to get back on the road and tour. "I want to do a live show again and play all the songs. I'm behind the big dam, which is about to break. Its like an urgency that creates energy that makes the songs better," he continues.

Deciding to pursue the indie route was a no-brainer for Teschner. "I wanted to keep some level of control and through my research found all kinds of resources. Far and away the best is I found them in The Music Connection, (commonly referred to as the LA's Musician's Bible,) and everyone goes by what they say. The buzz is that Glenn is a world-class guy, so I decided to launch at cdstreet and am glad I did."

This hard drivng, slide guitar playing, singing and stomping blues man is gearing up for what will be the second incarnation of his illustrious career. Sample Swamp Rock Blues at and find out what the word charisma means in the world of rock. For this and all your music needs, check out Don at:

Feeling a bit camera shy

Don Teschner
From the Rod Stewart Band, both his platinum award winning recordings and
touring band, to the critically acclaimed MTV “Unplugged And Seated” release with
Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, Don is an accomplished Multi-Instrumentalist.
The list of instruments he plays is long and varied; Violin, Mandolin, all sorts of Electric, Acoustic and Slide Guitars, Bass; fretted and fretless, Viola, Octave Mandolin, and Harmonica. These are his main instruments. There are more, but why go on?
Born in London England, Don grew up near the foot of the Appalachian mountains in
Easton Pennsylvania. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music. After working
with Rod Stewart for almost five years Don is just now releasing his first CD.

A collection of Slide Guitar based music. Inspired by the tradition of the Delta Blues;
Organic, Acoustic, and Passionate. These steamy songs resonate with the beautiful yet haunting sounds of the deep South.
Don will soon be touring in support of this release. In the mean time he will be
playing local shows around the Los Angeles area.
