Lesson Learned

Written By: Don Teschner © 2002

Well you didn’t come home this evening,
So I layed up all night long.
You didn’t come home this evening,
So I layed up all night long.
The only good that come from it,
Is this here song.
So I looked up at the ceiling,
But I didn’t see no dream.
I looked up at the ceiling,
But I didn’t have no dreams.
So I stared up out the window,
Till the light came through the screen.
Solo!
So I laid here in the dark,
And I tumbled and I turned.
I laid here in the dark,
And I tumbled and I turned.
I guess I’ll chalk this one
up,
To a lesson learned

Bound For Louisiana

Written By: Don Teschner © 2002

Well I’m bound for Louisiana,
All the way down to New Orleans.
Yeah I’m bound for Louisiana,
All the way down to New Orleans.
In the day it’s Oh so pretty,
But then the night time gets real mean yeah yeah.
I’ll be flippin’ through that Quarter,
Down to the rivers edge.
Yeah I’ll be flippin’ through that Quarter,
Down to the Mississippi’s
edge.
They’ll be tuggin’ at your dollar,
And they’ll be messin’ with your head.
Yeah yeah.
Solo!
I might wake up there tomorrow,
Or I could end up somewhere else.
I might wake up there tomorrow,
Or I could end up somewhere else.
Inside the beauty of the danger,
You gotta watch out for your self.

Lola

Written By: Lindsey Buckingham

Lola my love,
She knows how to treat her man.
Lola my love,
She does anything a woman can.
When I come home one thing on my mind,
She knows just what I’m looking for.
And then the morning after I said Lola you sure can love.
Lola, Lola, LoLoLo
Lola, Lola, LoLoLo

Well I feel like leavin’ my ol’ ol’ lonesome home,
Got up this morning and all I had was gone yeah.
Well I feel like leavin’ my ol’ lonesome home,
Got up this morning my little Bernice was gone.
Well I‘ll leave this morning’ if I have to woah Ride the blind,
I feel mistreated and I don’t mind dyin’ yeah,
Leave this morning’ if I have to woah Ride the blind,
Feel mistreated and I don’t mind dyin’
Solo
Some people tell me these ol’ worried ol’ blues aint bad,
Worse ol’ feelin’ I most ever had yeah.
Some people tell me these ol’ worried ol’ blues aint bad,
Worse ol’ feelin’ I most ever had.
She got that Elgin movement from her head down oh to her toes
Break in on a dollar most anywhere she goes yeah.
Elgin movement from her head down to her toes,
Break in on a dollar most any where she goes.

Trouble

Written By: Don Teschner © 2002

That big ol’ ship did not come in,
But then again how was I to know,
It was hard for me to tell,
When I’ve got nothing’ left to show.
I’ve got trouble, Knocking on my door.
And then I’ll find my self sneakin’ out the back,
Never to come back no more.
Well the ghosts of my past,
Will never fade away,
They will follow me until,
I meet them face to face.
I’ve got trouble, Knocking on my door.
And then I’ll find my self sneakin’ out the back,
Never to come back no more.
Solo!
No matter how fast I run,
I keep on running in my sleep.
I may never get away,
From the shadows to the deep
I’ve got trouble, Knocking on my door.
And then I’ll find my self sneakin’ out the back,
Never to come back no more.
And then I’ll find my self sneakin’ out the back,
Never to come back no more.
And then I’ll find my self sneakin’ out the back,
Never to come back no more.

Broke Down Engine

Written By: Atkinsom/McTell

Got a broke down engine momma,
Lost my driving wheel.
Broke down engine momma,
Lost my driving wheel.
You got me all tore down and broken,
Ooh you know how to make me feel.
I’ve been shootin’ craps and gamblin’ momma,
Momma I belive I done got broke.
I’ve been shootin’ craps and gamblin’ now,
Momma I belive I done got broke.
Had to pawn my mean 44,
And all my ready clothes and soap.
Solo!
I went down to my prayin’ ground,
Lord I fell down on my Knees.
Down to my prayin’ ground,
Lord I fell down on my Knees.
I said Lord won’t you please have mercy,
Won’t you bring me back my good girl please.
If you bring me back my baby Lord,
Won’t have to worry and cry no more.
Bring me back my baby Lord,
Won’t have to worry and cry no more.
Don’t have to bring her to my house,
Won’t you leave her outside my door.

Leave It All Behind

Written By: Don Teschner © 2002

She Whispers in his ear
So only he can hear
Her secrets and her fears as he listens
She says the cold relentless rain
Is driving her insane
She just wants to leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
She’s looking for a change
A chance to rearrange
But everything is strange and getting stranger
She’s feeling out of place
Moving at a different pace
Doesn’t want to leave a trace behind
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
But she will always change her mind
Says she drinks just to unwind
But you know she’s not that kind
She just wants to Leave it all
Wants to Leave it all
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
There’s a bangin’ on her door
She won’t answer it no more
And there’s a ringin’ on her phone
She just wants to be left alone
To leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
