Christian Artist: Don Tipton
Don has been playing music since he was thirteen years old, when he got his first guitar. Coming from a musically talented family, music is in his blood. It was his Uncle Howard who taught him a few chords on the guitar and he's been playing, singing, and writing music ever since. Most of his music is based on his personal experiences in life.
Don released his first contemporary Christian album called "Holy Fire" in October of 2005. Don's Christian roots go back over thirty years when he first came to faith in Christ in April of 1976.
Don has been playing in bands ever since his high school days. He grew up in southern Ohio where as a kid he started playing and singing country music with his family, then later on in high school he played in the rock band "American Destiny". After high school he became the lead singer for the rock band "Magic Mountain".
When he later became a Christian he moved to Detroit, Michigan where he played in the Christian bands known as "The Promised Land Band" and "Compassion".
In 1996 he decided to go solo and moved to Nashville, Tennessee the Christian and country music capitol of the world.
Don has continued to write both Christian and country music. He is now able to share his talent and music through his albums.
Thanks to the modern day internet Don Tipton songs are being heard all over the world.
Don also released a country album in 2005 called "Raised On Country" which country music fans are sure to love.
