Don't Look Back

Fast, Unique, Catchy, and Unpredictable best describe West Virginia's DIY Hardcore band “Don‘t Look Back“.  Derek Cunningham and Katie Bell Started the band in 2004. Shortly thereafter Michael Wilkes and Nathaniel Aylestock joined filling out the line-up. Through times spent trying desperately to find places to practice and eventually landing in Michael’s basement, the four piece slowly developed their own slower, more melodic version of traditional hardcore.  Main influences include: Casey Jones, Kids Like Us, Blacklisted, Comeback Kid, Blink 182, Bracewar, Minor Threat, xLooking Forwardx, and Slick Shoes.

After nearly a year of trying to find their style line-ups changed constantly and had finally settled with Derek Cunningham, Katie Bell, Stephen Dorsey, and Dwayne Hinkle.

In 2007, Don’t Look Back independently released their first demo.  Following the release of the demo, the band played countless local shows with many of today's well know hardcore bands including: Common Enemy, All My Strength, Let The Guilty Hang, Free Yon, Jerk Reaction, Dead Serious, Freeze Up, and many more. 

Soon after the demo was recorded Dorsey moved to guitar and Ethan Howard joined the band after filling in at a gig. This new line-up brings intensity and unmatched stage presence to the live performance.

The now solidified line up of Don’t Look Back is stronger than ever and ready to take the next step in the Hardcore Community.  With the release of the yet unnamed “2008 EP” expected April/May 2008 the band is destined to make a splash in Hardcore with their unique style and intensity. It’s all for hope, take it or leave it , We won’t be lost.
