“Don’t Tell Mama”
(Rockin’ Blues)

The Story
Don't Tell Mama is a Blues and Rock n' Roll band fueled by the uncontrollable desire and passion of four young musicians. Sick and tired of today's popular music and local scene, these four young men went back to the roots and created a Blues and Rock band with a sound that hasn't been heard for years. Most have been amazed with the brand of Rock n' Roll that these fine musicians possess. "Kids these days don't listen to Rock n' Roll and Blues music" says Jim Goffron, "we're trying to resurrect the music that started it all". Between their musical talent and their love of the blues, Jim Goffron joined up in a local blues band and was disappointed with the lack of dedication and musicianship of the other members. Destined to reach the top, this determined young musician hooked up with the Lowell Todd and his thick, deep, dangerous tones of the bass. Along came the tight percussion’s of Jimmy Clinton and last to join the lineup was the great Shreddin' Eddie Konopasek on lead guitar. With all the band members together now, there was only one missing piece: a band name. This is the most important aspect of a band. With patience they finally came up with the name that was to be heard all over town: DON'T TELL MAMA!

The New Story
Don't Tell Mama after three years of rattling the windows and rockin the joints, Don't Tell Mama is still goin strong. DTM is now bigger, better, and badder than ever, reverting to a four-piece lineup. DTM now consists of Lowell Todd (Bass Guitar) Eddie Konapasek (Lead Guitar) Jim Goffron (Vocals, Guitar, Blues Harp) Jimmy Clinton (Drums) This new lineup has been in place and rockin hard all summer long, including recording the NEW THREE SONG DEMO available at all DTM shows and on our myspace. Expect a new full-length album out in 2009 along with a tour, bringing Don't Tell Mama's ferocious brand of Blues/Rock to the masses. The world will never be the same.
