"Doomstar! : Rainbow Bloodsucker"

"Doomstar! has to be one of the most exciting bands I’ve heard as of late...Rainbow Bloodsucker is an EP that packs more excitement than many group’s LPs." - Innocent Words Magazine & Records

"Sprouting New Sounds"

"it’s amazing how fully a terrific band can articulate its sonic vision and love of reverb in a mere eight songs that hum and whiz by in just over 25 minutes...'Rainbow Bloodsucker' indeed bleeds glorious colors both real and imagined." - Boston Globe

"Impending Doomstar"

"’60s style R&B attitude a la The Pretty Things collide head-first with a jangly entanglement of treble and echo laden garage stomp brutality. This is the surf rock for oil contaminated beaches (topical metaphor alert!)" - The Decibel Tolls

"MP3: Doomstar! - Rainbow Bloodsucker"

"It's a loud jangly mess of garage psych pop from Boston that's ridiculously pleasing on the ears." - Anti-Gravity Bunny

"The Socialism of music sharing"

"Rainbow Bloodsucker is a full on guitar driven garage onslaught you can’t ignore." - Drive Wayfarer Drive

Bio

DOOMSTAR! is Spenser Gralla on guitar/vocals, Jeff Johnson on bass, and Noah Bond on drums/vocals. Living together in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the trio has consistently turned rainstorms into brainstorms at every basement show, summer BBQ, and birthday party since early 2007.

DOOMSTAR!’s sound spans the void between a summer car ride and a tidal wave. Heavily drenched in reverb, fuzz, and delay, the band creates grandiose pop anthems seen through the distorted lens of 90s indie nostalgia and 60’s psychedelia and R&B. Influence aside, the fundamental unit of all of DOOMSTAR!’s music is their relentless energy.
