Dope Poetz

Natives of Jackson, Tennessee, Dope Poetz have a natural affinity for music. Gaining their popularity at an early age in classroom performances and top ranking in school and local talent shows. Dope Poetz energetic stage performance and sound earn them a sizable local fan base and request for performances throughout the city. Having learned music from classes taken in high school and college, the group graduated and continued to master their art and follow their dreams.The diverse styles and unique flavors brought forth the production company “West 10 Dynasty Productions”. The company consists of five dope producers and partners. Dope Poetz wrote and produced their first album titled “In My World” in Memphis, Tennessee as college students, but due to non-existent contacts and a moderate marketing budget it remained a local sensation.

In 1999, “West 10” moved their studio to Atlanta, Georgia to expand the company’s services and to gain more exposure for their group Dope Poetz. After having shared the stage with artist such as Lil’ Jon and the Eastside Boys, Gangsta Boo, Skinny Pimp, and Juvenile during promotional performances, the group is gearing up to release their second album “Life on Paper” in the fall of 2003.
