Bio
Dorcia are a London-based Alternative/Indie/Folk troupe comprised of Alex Cull, Alex Sperring, Amy Cunningham, Flid Middup, Kris Rimmer and Isobel Pollard. First formed in 2008 by old friends, Dorcia are now a six piece.
They recorded and self-released a few records, but only since becoming a sextet have they really felt comfortable with what they're playing, their third release 'New Year EP' sees the fruition of this. Since gaining the use of a violin, mandolin and anything they can get hold of, Dorcia's live shows are starting to receive a reputation for being innovative and unpredictable.
At this time Dorcia are writing new material whilst taking to the 'stage' (be it a venue, a party, living room or park) as often as possible to promote their latest material. They have received comparisons to The Low Anthem, Grizzly Bear, The Arcade Fire, The National and many others.
Bands that Dorcia have previously shared the stage with include: Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Smoke Fairies, Dry The River and Sea of Bees.
