BIOGRAPHY
Dormant Light is an alternative rock band that seeks to achieve intelligent music that appeals to mainstream audiences. With influences from groups such as Audioslave, Breaking Benjamin, and Nirvana, Dormant Light delivers satisfaction to the modern listener, while at the same time incorporating Arabian scales and classical theory to create a sound that is truly unique.

� X102 Essentials Contest: In September 2003, Curtis Bard entered his song �While You Were Gone� into the X102 Essentials Contest, the biggest music contest in Northeast Indiana involving several hundreds of bands and independent musicians. The contest was based on talent and popularity. As one of the top 30 musicians, he won a place on the Essentials CD, radio time on Fort Wayne�s popular X102, radio interviews with Matt Jericho, and the use of his name to advertise the Essentials CD. The Essentials CD is sold to 1000s of fans in the Northeast Indiana region.
� Garageband.com: Garageband.com is an international Music Chart founded by Sir George Martin, the producer of the Beatles. Time Magazine named Garageband.com one of the �50 Best Websites of 2003�. Dormant Light�s song �Calisite� achieved the Track of the Day award for being in the top 20 on the Pop charts.
� Mp3.com: In 2002, Curtis entered his song �Your Lies� onto Mp3.com, one of the most popular music websites in the country. On November 7th, his song had risen to the top 10 in the Indiana Pop & Rock charts, the top 40 in the Indiana All Genre charts, and the top 600 in the US Pop & Rock charts.
� 98.9 Keg and Eggs Show: In 2006, Dormant Light was selected by 98.9 the Bear to play live music at Wrigley Field Bar and Grill for the famous Keg and Eggs Show.
St Louis, MO:
Dormant Light has performed around St Louis at locations including Pops, the WS Hotel, and the Red Sea. Because of high ticket sales, Dormant Light performed on the radio live for the 105.7 local show at Pops.
