Doron Raphaeli Trio

"Horse of Passion" – The Jazz Drummer, Doron Raphaeli's debut solo album. The music highlights Fusion, Ethnic and Latin Jazz styles with a Middle Eastern flavor.

The album consists of all original materials created by Doron Raphaeli in collaboration with Israeli pianist, Hod Moshonov and bass player, Ran Levi. An exceptional array of top musicians participated in the production of this album.
The album is a musical encounter between traditions and styles. The vibrant show is full of exciting rhythms and melodies performed to perfection.

As a young boy in Jerusalem, Raphaeli grew up drumming at family events on tin cans and ethnic drums until he discovered the drum-set at the age of fifteen.
Composer, arranger, drummer and percussionist, Raphaeli began his career playing with youth rock bands while studying in the Jerusalem Academy of Music. He continued his musical studies in the United States playing with various Latin and Fusion bands.
In Israel, Raphaeli was a member of the successful Ethnic Jazz Band "Minuette" and the Salsa Rock Band "Atraf". In 1997, Raphaeli established the internationally acclaimed Rhythm and Dance Group, "Tararam".
