A Dose of Blues-drenched Rock ‘n’ Roll...

Having moved to England, from Brazil the cultural standpoint of guitarist and main songwriter Luiz Mareze gives the tracks an interesting point of view – that of an outsider learning to be British.

Luiz’s vision of Dose has been a long time coming and started to come together after meeting bassist Dez and lead vocalist Stu at the jam night he ran in Altrincham. After sharing a stage together, the overlap in musical taste and passion and the instant comfort of playing with this lineup led to the creation of Dose.

While continuing to work on original material, the band have been gigging the cover band circuit in the rainy northwest, working hard on building up the band’s name and image. Over 30 gigs played in 6 months Dose have become a tight unit and the name is increasingly being associated with great shows, full on performances and a thoroughly satisfied audience.

The first original Dose material was recorded in August 2012. ‘Bandwagon’ and ‘(moving to the) Countryside have both been well received and have been played on internet and traditional radio stations. There have been over 600 plays on streaming sites such as Soundcloud and very positive comparisons have been made with The Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival and most commonly, The Black Crowes.

A full album is in the works as we speak and recording on this is expected to start very soon.
