"Dose, I went to your myspace page and listened ... I gotta say that is a fresh way of approaching old style rock and roll I think ... It's quirky (love the shallow reverb ... nice touch!), it's fresh (very upbeat) and most of all ... it is well played. Enjoyed it!! Of course this is still just my own opinion so please don't take offense :)"
- Pattie on the DMB

"They stole my wallet and farted on stage."
- Mayor Hickenlooper - Dose

Bio

Dose is a 2-piece Experimental/Groove-laden/Garage Rock band formed in Denver, Colorado 2009.

Consisting of Chris Moreno on guitar/vocals and Nick Fiore on drums/backing vocals, Dose's music is characterized by colossal guitar riffs & monstrous drums that come together to make this electric duo's own blend of fuzzy, groove-laden, off-beat, garage rock.

Nick met Chris in 2004 after migrating to Denver from Las Vegas. He auditioned in a room that could have easily passed as a sauna and after several traditional band attempts over the next few years and with various members, they decided to abandon the traditional ... knowing that they had a unique chemistry ... and form the electric duo Dose.

They recorded their debut CD, "Get Off My Lawn" in a blistering two days of marathon tracking by secluding themselves at a friend's gated warehouse for vintage cars & m/c, located next door to a cattle ranch just outside Boulder. Wild coyotes often raided the cattle and if you listen closely to the tracks and you can hear some "special guests" giving an impromptu performance. The result of taking this "just do it " approach in making the CD helped to capture Dose for what they are ... no BS, in your face, live & loud. On a side note: No cows were harmed in they making of this CD.

The founder of Low-Rent Records came across Dose while surfing local music website Denver Music Board, and after listening and meeting the band, he signed them to his label.
