Dos Soles

The trio Dos Soles was born with the encounter of three musicians with totally different trayectories:
Ladislav Szathmary, chelist from Slovaquia graduated in Bratislava and Paris, Illya Amar, french vibrafonist, who belongs to a new generation in the parisian jazz horizont and Matias Marcipar, argentinian multi-instrumentalist with traditional roots. Dos Soles inspires in the variety of their cultures and personalities to compose their music, filled of folklore, tradition and modernity. Although initially the project was focused on argentinian themes, the repertory has been enriched by new musical streams from other cultures (Vietnam, East Europe and Spain) as well as by original compositions. Dos Soles is always preserving the musical entity and coherence of the searched estetic: a chamber approach, priorising always the quality of sound, taking care of the rythmic schemes leaving enough space for the improvisation.
