Bio

Double A has always had a talent and passion for making music. His real name is Aaron Nienaber and while attending high school in Madison, WI he crafted his talent in hip hop and writing music. “I performed mostly at open mic nights and with friends for the first few years,” Aaron explains, “I built a studio in the basement of my parent’s house and recorded mix tapes to give away.” While attending college in Champaign, IL, his networking skills grew by performing at parties and handing out free mix tapes. After college he moved back to Madison and recorded his self-titled debut album; releasing it in 2006 and selling over 1000 copies locally. After creating a good local buzz at that time, he performed mainly as the opening act for major artists coming to Madison and surrounding areas.
While many artists sometimes struggle to establish their identity, there are others that emerge fully formed, in command of their craft, their identity and their music. Double A most definitely fits into this category. He has just dropped his first single his upcoming album on terrestrial FM radio and Internet radio stations. His music is rhythmic and lyrical, focusing on the fun and celebration of life, with bass smashing beats. His new single, No Tomorrow, is a captivating and moving debut that brings along the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent, whose music feels familiar, but breaks out into its own territory. “This song will be the first of many fantastic and elaborate records on this new album.”
After playing many of the venues in Madison, WI and Rockford, IL following his first two albums, he knew he needed to branch out from the local scene and get out on the road. “I went to Miami to promote my second album and I was blessed by getting introduced to Wyclef Jean,” He states. After meeting the Grammy Award winning artist and his sister Melky, Double A became a close family friend of theirs. He has worked with their charity, The Carma Foundation, for the relief of Haiti and also performed at their events in New York City. Double A has attended many Red Carpet events and even a dinner with the Ambassador of Haiti in Washington DC. After a brief hiatus from releasing an album he released a long awaited follow up album ‘It’s AAbout Time!’ in 2012. Since then he has traveled the country performing. He went on a small national tour performing in New York City, Miami, Louisville, Chicago, Phoenix, Tempe, and LA. He is currently still recording his third album due to release later in 2013.
Double A has been fortunate enough to share the stage with artists Wyclef Jean, Melky Jean, Patty LaBelle, Twista, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, The Game, DMX, Paul Wall, Hurricane Chris, Tech 9, SpeedKnot Mobstas, Ciara, Young Buck, Petey Pablo, and MANY more. He is still continuing to network and work with many major recording artists
